Money updates itself from the FEC. Polls, forecasts, issue salience and candidate positions live here.
No password set? On the server run npm run hash, paste the two lines into
.env, then pm2 restart us-elections-26 --update-env.
Margin is in points, positive toward the Democrat. Use 0 for a tie and leave it blank for "no poll" — a blank seat is left with its current holder in the projection rather than being guessed at.
The polls-based House projection is a published forecaster estimate, not something derivable from the seat-level data. The two numbers must total 435.
Share of voters naming each issue as their top priority. These drive the left-hand side of the salience-versus-money chart; the right-hand side comes from the FEC automatically.
The whole editorial file. Use this for candidate positions, megadonors,
party-trust figures and win rates. It is validated before saving; a bad edit is rejected rather than published,
and the previous version is kept as polls.json.bak.
Normally the PM2 cron does this every six hours. Trigger it by hand after a new FEC filing deadline. The pull takes a minute or two and the page will not change until it finishes.
